Don't forget your passport!

If you are planning to hire a car, don't forget your driving licence.

We hope that you will never need to use it, but we highly recommend that you make sure that you apply for a European Medical Insurance Card (EHIC) as the private medical costs in Spain can be very high. This card entitles you to reduced-cost and sometimes free medical coverage during your stay. Please vist the Department of Health web site to find out more.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: As from 31th December 2005 you need to use the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) for medical coverage, as the old E111 will no longer be valid.
